The beginning...

OK, although I never have been much of a writer, I thought this would be a good way to keep track of how my weight loss is going.

My goals:


  • To get fit. I'm not looking to be a size 6, that's just not a realistic goal for my body type.
  • I would like to lose some fat (especially belly fat, which is supposed to be the worst for your health), around 40-50lbs, and reduce my BMI to a more healthy level.
  • Build some muscle
  • Have more energy.

Actions:


  • More fruits, vegetables and whole grains added to my diet.
  • Less refined sugars and fats
  • More Cardio (I don't particularly enjoy this one)
  • More Weight Training (This, I do enjoy)
  • Get more sleep (this will make it easier to get up and work-out before work)

Starting Statistics:

  • Weight - 189lbs
  • BMI - 33
  • Age - 28 (at least for 1 more day :)
  • Height - 5'3"
